the boring, important bit.
privacy policy.
you came here to make records, not to read legal text. so here it is plainly: we collect what we need to book you in, do the work, and stay in touch — nothing else. we don't sell your data, we never have, and there is no version of this studio where we start.
last updated: july 2026.
who's responsible.
dreamsdemos. is a recording studio based in madrid, spain, and it's responsible for the data described here — questions, complaints and requests all reach us at dreams@dreamsdemos.com.
what we collect, and why.
when you book a session or message us.
your name, email, and — if you give it — your phone number, plus whatever you tell us about the project. we need it to confirm the session, send you the details, and actually do the work. if you reach us on social media or by phone instead, we keep the handle or number for the same reason: to get back to you.
when you have an account.
your name, email, language preference, and whether you want the daily update email. if you sign in with google, google confirms your identity to us — we never see your password. inside your account we hold the work itself: your projects, songs, files, notes and session history.
when you join the mailing list.
just your email, and only because you asked. every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe, and it works immediately.
when you're only browsing.
if — and only if — you accept analytics cookies, we use google analytics to see which pages people read before they book, and where they give up. that's the whole question we're asking. we don't record your screen, we don't build a profile of you, and we never turn on google's advertising features: those signals stay switched off permanently, not just until you accept.
say no and nothing is stored on your device and nothing is sent that could identify you. the site works exactly the same either way — no nagging, no degraded experience, no second banner on the next page.
cookies.
a few small files are needed for the site to function at all. these are set without asking, because without them nothing works:
- a session cookie, so being logged in survives clicking a link.
- a security token that stops other sites submitting forms as you.
- your language choice, so we don't hand you english every visit.
- your answer to the cookie banner, so we stop asking.
google analytics cookies are the only optional ones, and they are set only after you accept. changed your mind? the “cookies.” link at the bottom of any page reopens the banner, and choosing “no thanks” stops the collection from that moment.
who else touches it.
we don't sell or trade your data. we do use a handful of companies to run the studio's systems, and they process some of it on our behalf:
- render — hosting for the site and its database.
- bunny.net — the network that delivers audio and images to your browser.
- google — email delivery, spam protection on our forms, and sign-in if you use it.
- google analytics — visitor measurement, only with your consent.
- mapbox — the neighbourhood map shown when our exact address is private.
leaving europe.
some of those companies are based in the united states, so some data is processed outside the european economic area. where that happens it's covered by the safeguards european law requires — the eu–us data privacy framework, or standard contractual clauses. we'd rather be straight with you about this than claim your data never leaves europe.
how long we keep it.
- account and project data: while your account is open, or until you ask us to delete it.
- booking and session records: as long as spanish tax and contract law requires us to.
- mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
- analytics: 14 months, then google deletes it automatically.
your rights.
european law gives you real control over this, and we'd honour it even if it didn't. you can ask us to:
- show you everything we hold about you.
- correct anything that's wrong.
- delete it.
- hand it over in a portable format, or send it somewhere else.
- stop a particular use, or withdraw a consent you gave earlier.
email dreams@dreamsdemos.com and we'll sort it — no forms, no hoops. if we somehow get it wrong, you have the right to complain to the spanish data protection authority (aepd).
keeping your data safe.
everything travels encrypted, access to the studio's systems is limited to the people who need it, and we hold as little as we can get away with — the data we never collected is the data that can never leak.
when this changes.
if what we collect changes, this page changes with it — that's a rule we hold ourselves to, not a courtesy. anything unclear here, write to dreams@dreamsdemos.com and a human will answer.
