Mixing is one of the most misunderstood steps in releasing music, but it is by far one of the most important. It's the difference between an instant skip and a full listen-through. Choose the latter.

the process.

Tell us about the record in our project form.

We come back to you to agree a delivery and payment plan that works for both sides.

Most mixing projects run around 10 days. Heavier ones take longer, and you'll hear that from us up front rather than after.

From then on the job lives in your hub, showing its due date and where it's currently at. You can check on your mix whenever you like instead of writing to ask.

There are a hundred ways to mix the same song. The work that decides which one you get happens before we touch a fader.

So we'll ask you for these, or help you find them:

  • a rough mix or demo of each song
  • a couple of commercial references in a similar style
  • anything else that tells us where the mix should land

Get this part right and, nine times out of ten, revisions become a matter of minutes.

* You can also come in for a pre-mixing session and settle it all in the room with us. It's quicker than email.

With the direction settled, we mix. You get them back on the date we agreed.

Revisions happen in your hub, on the mix itself. Play it there, write a note where something needs to change, and the note stays attached to that version — no scrolling back through a mail thread to work out which mix you meant.

We mark each note as we work through it, so what's been addressed and what's still open is on the screen instead of in your head.

You don't have to keep checking either. Whenever something moves — a new version uploaded, a job finished — an email goes out the next morning with what changed. Only when there's actually news, never more than one a day, and you can turn it off.

There's no cap on revisions, and we don't count them. When the notes are done, so is the record.

Everything lands in your hub and stays there, so a year from now the files are still a login away rather than a favour to ask.

Every mixing project is delivered with:

  • a 48kHz, 24 bit WAV of the final mix
  • a 320 kb/s MP3 preview of how it will sound mastered
  • 48kHz, 24 bit WAVs of every stem in the mix
  • (extra) the mix session file, so you can open it up and see how it was done

* Different sample rate or bit depth? Just ask.

questions, answered.

how do i start a mix?
send us your stems through the mix & master flow above. once they're in, we take it from there.
can i mix with you remotely?
yes — it's built for it. send your stems, then track every revision and stream each version straight in your browser, no downloading mp3s back and forth.
how many revisions do i get?
there's no hard limit on the revisions you can request — we work the mix until it's right, then hand in the project.
what format do you deliver?
we deliver 48khz / 24-bit by default — just ask for a different sample rate or bit depth. your mix arrives as a cloud link, or in your hub if you have an account.
what does mixing cost?
mixing is priced per song, with multi-song discounts that grow with the number of songs. the full breakdown, with a live calculator, lives on the pricing page.
