riah is a Cape Verdean-American artist from Boston with a musical style that blends alt/pop, R&B, and neo-soul. After amassing over two million combined streams with her first widely successful hit “Too Fast,” riah released her first EP “Head/Space” in 2024. Beginning her career from her studio apartment in Madrid, she's since played shows in the States, Europe, Africa, and Australia. Argentine artist, producer and audio engineer; one half of PIGS DON'T FLY; and all of dreamsdemos. Beats are hip hop and house, with R&B and latin music accents. Landing somewhere between KAYTRANADA, Fred again.. and Mac Miller. Started out with piano lessons at 3, guitar at 14, and then kept figuring out things on my own. By 17 I already had a few years of production experience, and started out on my next project: dreamsdemos. What started out as just a logo to hide my impostor syndrome behind eventually became something a lot bigger than the branding. That's pretty much how we got here. Now it's just me and Mac (my dog, you'll see him in the studio photos, and hear him in my songs) lookin' to make our place in the world.
