PIGS DON'T FLY

PIGS DON'T FLY are a self-produced, Argentine-Italian music duo from Madrid. They make hip hop, house, and rnb with a common thread: rap. They met as kids at school, quickly grew to become good friends, and just as quickly lost each other when Nachi moved back to Argentina. Years later, when he came back to Spain and started publishing music, Don Le heard and got in touch claiming to be a rapper. The claim held up. From their surnames Moreno and Porchietto came "BROWN PIGS", which didn't survive being said out loud, but inspired the name that stuck. A raw, literal response to the idiom saying 'when pigs fly': "PIGS DON'T FLY". Their first EP, "Eyes closed, mind full throttle", comprises four tracks built on slow, introspective jazz-rap: deliberate avoidance, the noise it fails to quiet, loneliness, and self-medication. Next, and louder — house, club, and sample-driven; clean one bar and distorted the next. Six tracks on romance, substance abuse, and codependence folding into each other, moving fast enough never to heal: "'til DEATH do us PARTY".
